After winning the IWR2016|Permanent ICT-Workspaces tender, Protinus IT has additionally won the IWR2016|Displays tender.

IWR is an acronym for ICT Government Working Environment. They will be introduced on the market through a series of tenders.

It involves ICT hardware tenders which fall under the ICT Working Environment category, which is assigned to the Ministry of the Interior and implemented by UBR|HIS. UBR|HIS (Implementation Organization Operational Management Government|Hague Purchasing Cooperation) provides the category management and contract management for these tenders.

The contracting authority estimates the volume for the purchase of Displays for ICT workstations at around 25,000 units per year. The financial volume per year is estimated at 5 million euros including the associated services.

The framework agreement has an initial term of two years and can be extended once or several times for a period to be determined by the principal client, up to a maximum of four years. The framework agreement is made with 3 parties that will have to compete for orders. Protinus IT is one of them; the other two are Scholten Awater and Centralpoint.

10 ministries are participating in the tender, in addition to organisations such as De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB), Staatsbosbeheer and various others, including the Tax Authorities. In total, 103 government organisations have agreed to tender together.

The government-wide IWR programme has the following intended business outcome: the optimal functioning of the government department in order to achieve government policy, particularly the Compact Government Service’s policy objectives: increased productivity of the national staff, more flexibility in working methods, efficiency and especially cost savings in the national organisation.   • working paperless as much as possible;
  • working wirelessly;
  • printing, scanning and copying in government offices; mobile and personal ICT resources;
